Ministry Partners
Lakewood has the honor of partnering with these ministries both in McAlester and around the world!
Shared Blessings
Shared Blessings began in 1998 through the efforts of Devonna Edwards, who desired to clothe children and families in need. Over the years, the ministry has continued to grow, now serving over 1500 people every month through a variety of programs. Our on-going goal is to partner with area churches, civic organizations, businesses, corporations, agencies and individuals to meet a growing number of needs in the area. Presently, Shared Blessings is able to consistently help with clothing, food, shelter, furniture, household goods, transportation, emergency financial assistance, disaster relief, along with several other miscellaneous needs.
Through the efforts of Shared Blessings and its generous partners, many in our community find a place of compassion and relief.

World Orphans
We equip, inspire, and mobilize the church to care for orphans and vulnerable children. Churches engaged. Children restored. Communities transformed by the Gospel of Christ.

Paul and Mary Wilson
VFM ministry is so thankful for the prayers and support of several individuals and churches since it was started in 1985. The work began with the help of the Lakewood Christian Church in McAlester, Oklahoma and Oakwood Christian Church in Enid, Oklahoma. After that the Rogers Christian Church in Rogers, Arkansas began encouraging the VFM ministry in the Philippines. In the last several years, several other churches has joined these three churches to help encourage the work of the Lord in the Phillipines.

Ozark Christian College
The ultimate mission of Ozark Christian College is to glorify God by evangelizing the lost and edifying Christians worldwide. The immediate mission of Ozark Christian College is to train men and women for Christian service as a degree-granting institution of biblical higher education. Emphasis is given to vocational preparation for preaching ministers, missionaries, worship ministers, youth ministers and children's ministers. Biblical and practical training is also provided for those who will serve in the church in non-vocational roles such as elders, deacons, Bible school teachers and youth sponsors.

Christ in Youth
For more than 40 years, Christ In Youth (CIY) has called students and leaders to boldly live for Christ through the hope of the Gospel message and a call to Kingdom action. By amplifying the call of Christ on student lives, three generations of servants, workers, missionaries and church leaders have responded to that call and populated the harvest field.
